Ep. “3 Finalists Chosen”
So after last night’s questionable performances, tonight’s result shows was geared up to be quite the guessing game. Who will move on to the Top 12 from the final set of 36? Who is going to have to hope for a Wild Card spot? As a reminder, my prediction was for Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre and Felicia Barton (possibly). Also, does anyone hate the choreographed segments as much as I do? They pick good songs but they are made SOOO CHEESY that I can’t stand them!
So here is who made it through…
I guess my predictions were still pretty on point. I knew that the third spot from this weeks competitors was up for grabs, and the Puerto Rican, Jorge Nunez, was able to take hold of it.
Tomorrow we get the Wild Card round of American Idol, and the contestants who were selected for an additional audition are: Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey, Tatiana Del Toro, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth and Anoop Desai.
With this week’s episode, I was hoping a few questions would be answered, especially some of the ones that were presented last week. Instead, they start the episode with a whole new batch of them. What is with the apparent Anubis statue? Is it related to the “monster’s” lair we saw two weeks ago? Why is Sawyer the Head of Security for the Dharma Initiative now? Did the time travelling group end up in the past and decide to infiltrate the Dharma camp?
Apart from adding more questions, this episode was really an empty one. Obviously, the group does enter the Dharma Initiative community and begins to develop a life there. The one real point of interest is this new love between Juliet and Sawyer. It seems he is always able to steal Jack’s ladies. Also, we find out that Sawyer has gotten over Kate. Or has he?
Ep. “Season 5 Reunion”
So this year, the reunion wasn’t that eventful. Even with the rivalry between Hosea and Stephan, there didn’t seem to be much stuff for the cast to discuss. Of course they discussed Hosea’s journey to the title, highlights from the judge’s table and awesome Carla moments. They did bring up a few interesting things though. They talked about this “Birthday Curse.” Apparently there were a large number of contestants eliminated on (or around) their birthday this season. Also, they had to discuss the budding relationship between Hosea and Leah. I honestly think they are gross together and don’t care what the do. I can say though that I think this year’s contestants were the most creative in the Stew Room…Glad Wrap Volleyball, what?! And the one part of the reunion that you need to know. Who is the Fan Favorite? The winner is…
I love this show and Season 5 was definitely another great season. I cannot wait for the next season. I also cannot wait for NBC and Lifetime to get out of litigation so that we can have another season of Project Runway. Come one, the finale has already been taped!
Ep “You Got Your Prom Date Pregnant”
I just start with saying that I love the structure of this show. With many of the dramas on TV today, especially the ones dealing with the law, the show has these small storylines for each episode and then an overarching storyline. With Damages, the entire show is the latter, and I think it is better for it. You are almost obligated to watch every episode in order to stay on top of it. Also, with their flashes to the end of the season, the intrigue is nearly unbearable. Way to go FX for creating such an awesome show.
For the episode, not to much really happens to progress the story. Patty decides to attack the FBI after the death of Uncle Pete and the investigation of Patty is put into question when no evidence of the case file can be found. Also, Detective Messer tells Wes to “eliminate” Ellen. We will have to find out later if he goes through with it.
