On Tuesday: Glee, Lost, V and Millionaire Matchmaker

Ep. “Hell-O”

First, I am going to say I totally called it. I knew that there was going to be a new character on the show that would be the male version of Rachel and that he would get in the way of Finn and her relationship. I, however, didn’t have the predictive skills to realize that he would be from Vocal Adrenaline and using Rachel to spy on New Directions. It makes total sense, but I kept on thinking of a transfer student from another state or something like that. A new regular rather than an extended story-arch character. Either way, I am excited to see how this all transpires.

Also, Idina Menzel! I had no idea she was joining the show and she makes a wonderfully hilarious glee club instructor for Vocal Adrenaline. I am now looking forward to the time when she will sing with Morrison (Will) because you know it is going to happen.

In general though, I didn’t find this episode nearly as amazing as the ones from before the hiatus. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having had to wait so long for more Glee or that the songs were not nearly as amazing this time. The Lionel Richie cover of “Hello” was my favorite of the night [performed by Rachel Berry and Jesse St. James]. Sue Sylvester, the Old Maids Club, and Idina were the highlights of the night. Overall, Glee is back, and I like it!

To top it all of, FOX broadcast this teaser for next weeks, “The Power of Madonna” episode. I laughed out loud at this very accurate portrayal of the Madonna music video from years past. Oh Sue Sylvester, I love you!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

 Ep. “Everybody Loves Hugo”

Yet another episode of Lost that was amazing! This week’s focus on Hurley was a needed one. He always seems to put a bit of lightness into the storyline, and they finally showed how much respect/say-so Hurley has gained since originally coming to the island. I must say thought that I almost hope that the alternate reality doesn’t implode by the end of the season for I was overjoyed with Hurley’s and Libby’s reunion in Los Angeles. It will be very sad for him to lose her again.

Also, I was quite shocked that they blew up Ilana (for a moment), but then I realized that it was inevitable. But everything seems to be falling into place. Desmond is starting to work his magic in the alterate reality, enticing Hurley to connect with Libby and running over John Locke, and Jack, Hurley and Sun arriving at Locke’s camp.

I also wonder if they are going to answer this Purgatory-esque vibe that was given off by Michael and the whispering voices when Hurley spoke to him in the woods.  So did all of those people do something terrible on the island and are stuck? Or is it that everyone who does something terrible is stuck there? Maybe they are what make up the smoke monster…I NEED ANSWERS!

It looks like next week is going to be just as good as the show comes to a close in just a few weeks. I am going to miss it terribly!

Ep. “John May”

This is what I was talking about on my last post about the show. This week V finally got interesting again. Not only did we find out about John May and the history of him with Ryan, but there was some action, some development and some resolution. Erica, Ryan and Jack go to John May’s old house to look for the communication device that we heard about in the last episode. This is imperative to their survival as Georgie is being tortured by the Vs, who hope he will give up the names of the Fifth Column members. In the end, Georgie dies, but he is able to say goodbye to his comrades and go in peace. Also, with the communicator found, who knows what will happen in future episodes.

On a side note, Tyler finds out that his father might not be his biological one, and Val discovers the sonogram image Ryan was keeping away from her. In the end of the episode, she has disappeared and Ryan finds an empty folder laying on the closet floor.

Let’s hope this intrigue continues!

Ep. “Greg and Zagros”

In the season finale of Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti and the other matchmakers get a psychic reading, and it turns out that Patti may not be getting married after all. I wonder though if that was merely a stunt by Patti to make sure there is intrigue for next season/press, or if Patti really will have issues with the wedding. In the matchmaking realm, there is a new guy, Greg Knoll, and an old one, Zagros Bigvand. Patti also decided not to use her traditional mixer format for the speed dating. Instead, her and her team selected two separate girls for each man, they had a short get-to-know-you time, then a 45-minute first date to lead to the decision for a master date.

Greg Knoll is a 47-year-old mortgage broker and self-made millionaire who has failed to tie knot after two previous engagements. In his short date section, he chose Livia Milano, and it seemed very awkward. And what is a “spinner” in relation to Italian women? Fortunately for her, Livia was eventually rejected for the master date. Save! In the end, he went on his master date with Mojo, who had a relatively cute country accent, but kind of sounded like a Simpson multiple times during the date. Greg really frustrated me. He changes his mind from Livia to Mojo and is then upset that Mojo couldn’t ski, which she mentioned during the short dates. Needless to say, the date didn’t go well in my opinion. Patti had it right, the man is a douche. Oddly enough, they have gone out multiple times. Weird.

Zagros Bigvand was the playboy millionaire from last season, who shockingly broke Patti’s cardinal rule–he slept with his woman on the first date! He says he has changed since the last season, becoming more spiritual and grown-up. Zagros actually seemed like he picked the correct woman, Susan. They seemed to have a lot of creepy chemistry during the short date. But who was that boxing instructor from their first date? Can you say, CRAZY! I did think their date went well.

On Tuesday: Lost and V

Ep. “Happily Ever After”

First off, since I haven’t written about this season yet..IT IS AMAZING! It is right up there with season 1 as the best thing on television. Not only are they actually answering some of the questions we have had since season 1, like what is the black smoke and what is the meaning of the numbers, but they have also explained Richard and his agelessness and what the island really is, kind of. And most compelling is this new alternate reality thing where the Oceanic Flight 815 didn’t crash.

This episode centered around Desmond Hume, who is special. When the episode ended it made a lot more sense. He was chosen for an experiment by Widmore due to the fact that he was the only person alive to have survived a massive electromagnetic catastrophe (referring to the day the hatch and the day the plane crashed). Anyways, the experiment exposes Desmond to a large dual-coil electromagnet in a tiny little shed. Unlike the unfortunate operator, who died minutes before, Desmond is only knocked unconscious for a brief moment. But in that moment, Desmond’s consciousness is transfered to his body within the alternate reality where he is a single, trusted employee of Whitmore and has never fallen in love with Penny. Interesting enough, he is tasked with watching Charlie, who we saw OD on herroine a few episodes back, because he is supposed to play at a charity benefit later that day. Well Charlie doesn’t cooperate and events lead to Desmond and Charlie sinking to the bottom of a bay. Apparently during a near death experience, the characters experience a flash of their other “island” reality.

Not getting into all the details, Desmond begins to question his situation in this new alternate reality and discovers that he is the one that has to save the world.

The episode ends with Desmond fully cooperating with Widmore. As he walks away, two henchmen are murdered by Sayid and Desmond agrees to go away with him.

I just realized how crazy all of this sounds. If you don’t follow LOST you will be lost reading this post. See it all makes sense that Desmond is the key. He has had other consciousness-shifting experiences in previous episodes, so it is only correct that he is necessary to communicate with the alternate reality.

Either way, the shows amazing and I cannot to wait for next week’s Hurley-focused episode.

Ep. “Pound of Flesh”

So I am a fan of this show, but I need them to get on with the story. The first four episodes last November were all AMAZING, like couldn’t wait for next week amazing; however, so far this portion has been very long and drawn out. I think this is only the second episode since it’s spring return and I am already weighing whether I care to watch it or not. The show has tons of potential but it is taking too long to build up to the climax. But I am obviously not alone on this front, the ratings are showing a drastic decline week after week and if they dont step it up, and fast, the show is going to get cancelled before the fun happens.

Anyways, in this episode the resistance work to infiltrate the V mothership and imbed a message into Anna’s broadcast to the world. She is announching their Live Aboard program where humans are to be selected by random lottery to live inside the ship with the Vs (random, my ass). However, Ryan, the humanized V that has impregnated his girlfriend, has to attempt a suicide mission to imbed the message, but moreso for him, acquire a V drug that will save his girlfriend during the pregnancy.

On a side note, Anna is getting upset with the Fifth Columns activities, but she devices a test to determine if her alien comrades are of the resistance or not. Interesting enough, it guages empathy; apparently, Vs are totally emotionless and should have no noticeable reaction to thing that would completely upset a human being. Fifth Column members, however, have gained empathy, which is causing their questioning of Anna and her motives.

Good episode, but not great. Let’s hope that next week sparks the reintroduction of an exciting show.

On Tuesday: The Mentalist & Real Housewives of NYC

So because of the Presidential Press Conference, a few shows I would normally be watching on Tuesday were either put on hiatus for a week or moved to another day. As such, American Idol was moved to Wednesday. However, even with the President ruining primetime Tuesday, The Mentalist and Real Housewives still aired.

The MentalistEp. “Carnelian Inc.”

It was kind of funny watching this weeks episode since it revolved around a financial company and the unfortunate murders taking place while they are on a retreat. Kind of appropriate, don’t you think? The overall story wasn’t too crazy. In the end, it was the CEO of the company that was the murderer. He actually killed one of the coworkers and faked a bomb threat on himself to try and pull of the intended murder. The fun part of the episode was watching the somewhat giddy, childish excitement Patrick Jane was expressing. He really makes this show. If it wasn’t for Simon Baker this show wouldn’t have lasted two episodes.

Real Housewives NYCEp. “Runway Run-In”

There definitely was some drama that arose this week while the housewives attended Fashion Week, but I feel like this was just a prelude to the bombs that are going to go off next week. There is a tension betwee Bethenny and Kelly that seems completely unfounded, but it seems like it is going to blow up big time in the near future. Also, Alex and Simon had another altercation with Ramona. Just before a fashion show, Simon and Ramona have it out in the front row. I would agree with Kelly that it wasn’t the right time or place for it. Apart from the drama, the entire episode did center around fashion. There was a luncheon/private runway show that Jill hosted and numerous trips to different designer boutiques in New York and Brooklyn. I like that with this subject matter the producers are choosing to start to look at Kelly a little bit more. It seemed like she was being neglected in previous episodes this season.

Can’t wait for next week.

On Tuesday: American Idol, The Mentalist & Housewives

American IdolEp. “11 Finalists Compete”

This week’s theme was one of Simone’s favorites and a crowd pleaser: country. I was excited and it was interesting.

Michael Sarver: Performed “Ain’t Goin’ Down ‘Til the Sun Comes Up.” I must say I am tired of people picking this song to perform on American Idol. There are a zillion words and it is a Garth Brooks classic. Leave the song alone. Michael did alright, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite.

Allison Irahetta: Performed “Blame It On Your Heart.” I thought the performance was alright. I am really starting to enjoy the tone of her voice more and more; she is kind of like a rocker with a touch of punk. A 16-year-old Pink if you will. I think she will definitely be moving on to the next round.

Kris Allen: Performed “To Make You Feel My Love.” I was a big fan of his performance this week. I liked that the song was really stripped down and so focused on the vocals. The whole time I watched it I thought he was singing it to his wife and it was really an emotional rendition. The judges loved it and I think he is definitely safe.

Lil Rounds: Performed “Independence Day.” I definitely agreed with the judges on this one. There are better songs for Lil that would have suited her more than this one. Also, that song had it’s Idol moment with Carrie Underwood singing it a long time ago. I think Lil is safe but I think that she can do better.

Adam Lambert: Performed “Ring of Fire.” I know there were mixed feelings about this one but I LOVED IT. They always talk about the contestants doing something unique with a song, and I thought that his rendition of a Cash classic was interesting and I was captivated. I plan in downloading it tonight.

Scott MacIntyre: Performed “Wild Angels.” I definitely wasn’t a fan today. I agree with Simon that Scott should be able to keep himself behind the piano; however, I thought the vocal was extremely mediocre. Also, I need him to choose songs that are not so “inspirational.”

Alexis Grace: Performed “Jolene.” I love this song. I love Alexis Grace. I loved the performance. Period.I do agree with Kara’s commentary though, some of Alexis’ edge was gone this week. Hopefully, it doesn’t hurt her.

Danny Gokey: Performed “Jesus Take the Wheel.” Finally one of the contestants had the balls to perform a song recorded by a past Idol winner. The one issue I had with his performance is that the entire first half of the song was in such a stationary tone and it isn’t Gokey’s strength. He definitely added some soul to the song but I don’t get that “chill” I was hoping for. He should be fine.

Anoop Desai: Performed “You Are Always on My Mind.” I am going to steal a line from Paula, “You’ve got tender, amazing, sweet vocals.” He definitely was able to redeem himself from last week. I think he might be safe again.

Megan Corkrey: Performed “I Go Walking After Midnight.” She is slowly growing on me. The song was a bit slow and not the most vocally challenging but she sang it well and it had the Megan Corkrey spin. Oh and she had the flu? I imagine that is why a few of those notes sounded a bit odd.

Matt Giraud: Performed “So Small.” So in one night we get two Carrie Underwood songs?! This week was the first time I looked at Matt as a good singer and artist. Everything prior to this seemed like he was trying too hard and this one seemed almost effortless even though it is a difficult song. I hope he keeps this road as the contest progresses.

The MentalistEp. “Bloodshot”

YAY! The Mentalist and Simon Baker have returned after what seems like weeks and weeks of repeats. This week we got to have quite a few comedic moments with Patrick Jane temporarily loses his vision after an explosion. Also, it was interesting seeing the flashbacks into Jane’s past when he was a “psychic.”

The overall case of this week was a bit predictable. I immediately thought the detective’s boyfriend was involved, and it turns out that he was the murderer.

The episode was highly enjoyable and I am glad that it is back. Can’t wait for next week.

Real Housewives NYCEp. “New York State of Mind”

I haven’t gotten to this one yet but I will write something the minute I get to watch it.

On Tuesday: American Idol & Housewives

American IdolEp. “13 Finalists Compete”

So this week the contestants hit the “Big Stage” and it was an interesting week. The contestants were given the repitoire of Michael Jackson to

Lil Rounds: Performed “Way You Make Me Feel.” I am not going to lie, every time I hear this song I think of the movie Center Staged. I know how horrible that is. But in relation to Lil Rounds performance. I thought she did a great job. I loved the little liberties she took with the melody and wooooh does she have a falsetto.

Scott MacIntyre: Performed “Keep the Faith.” I must say, I haven’t really been a fan of him thus far, but this week he turned me. The judges weren’t lying when they said we needed to hear him on the piano. The performance felt heart-felt and the song was a good one. Way to go Scott! Did anyone think of Mika when he did that high note?

Danny Gokey: Performed “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing).” Whoo that was a performance. The man has some pipes! My one thing is I question whether he would be able to sustain that kind of voice for an entire concert. The “soul” he possesses is definitely something that doesn’t seem normal for a white guy. He is like a white SEAL from Michigan.

Michael Sarver: Performed “You’re Not Alone.” I kind of feel bad for him because he had to follow Danny. Also, I really couldn’t stand how nasally he sang the song. And the fact that his voice kind of gave after the first power note does not bode well for me. It was aight.

Jasmine Murray: Performed “I’ll Be There.” She did good. She has balls though. I mean to do a song that has not only been performed by Michael Jackson but covered by Mariah Carey! That takes balls; and she did alright. I really agree with Kara that she needed to move down about 1/2 a key and she would have sounded effortless.

Kris Allen: Performed “Do You Remember.” So the performance was alright, he sang well, but I don’t know if it was as good as other performances. Now he was very smart though; he added a guitar to his persona. He was the “hot guy” for the girls, but now he is the “hot guy with the guitar.” This show is going to have a hard time getting rid of them. Note: As a man who has been MRAZ-merized, I love to hear Randy say a performance is Jason Mrazy.

Allison Irahetta: Performed “Give Into Me.” Smart decision at song choice. She chose one of the few Michael Jackson “rock ballads.” I really liked the performance but the women rockers haven’t ever held on too long. Only time will tell.

Anoop Desai: Performed “Beat It.” So I love this song and I have to say the minute they announced that this was Michael Jackon Week, I placed this on the list of songs the contestants shouldn’t touch, just below “Thriller.” I think I was right, and the judges agreed. The man is a performer but he just can’t match Michael Jackson with that song.

Jorge Nunez: Performed “Never Can Say Goodbye” by the Jackson 5. I don’t know why but Jorge reminds me of Ricky Martin merged with Marc Anthony…and that’s not a good thing. Now on top that this week, he seemed like he was in a lounge in Vegas. It was so ballroom I didn’t know what to do with myself while he was singing. Not my favorite tonight!

Megan Corkrey: Performed “Rockin’ Robin” by Jackson 5. She definitely has a relevance for the music industry right now but I don’t know how far she is going to get on the show. It just sin’t a voice that can really be showcased in a “mainstream” competition.

Adam Lambert: Performed “Black and White.” So another good performance by Adam. I do think he needs to expand his song selection a bit so that he doesn’t seem to be doing the same rock song thing every week…I will eventually will I get tired of the “rock scream.” However, it was definitely one of the best performances of the night.

Matt Giraud: Performed “Human Nature.” So it only seems appropriate that the duelling pianist plays the piano the same night as Scott MacIntyre. I thought the performance was not strong enough to really hold up to the other preformances of the night. This one might not get him through to the next round. I guess I’ll found out tomorrow.

Alexis Grace: Performed “Dirty Diana.” So she is one of my favorite artists. She not only has a unique sound, but she is cute and personable. I thought the performance was awesome and she has to move on. Side Note: does she look a bit like Majandra Delfin from Roswell?

So I think this is going to be one great Top 13. The contestants came out tonight and the majority of them sang songs that work for them and had killer performances. In the end, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds and Alexis Grace were my favorites. I think Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray are the ones who need to be worried about the results tomorrow night.

Real Housewives NYCEp. “If You Have Nothing Nice to Say…”

So last week was the “spa/wellness” episode; this week we have the “home decor” episode. The show started with Jill dealing with her “gay husband” redesigning her apartment and then moved to Alex and Simon talking with an architect about their renovations. My thoughts on the matter…I wonder why Jill listens to her “gay” because I think his taste is HORRIBLE and I wonder if Alex and Simon are only doing these renovations because of the feedback from season 1 about their gross apartment. Later, Ramona and Kelley go to the Richard Meier “showroom.” Richard Meier is a world-famous architect just continuing the theme of the episode.

In other news, Bethenny gets a cover shoot with Social Life magazine and when LuAnn makes the comment, “Are they doing any retouching?” Bethenny gets upset. Now, I see how Bethenny took it, but in the same sense, LuAnn was a model and understands the photo shoot experience and I don’t think that she meant it in the way that Bethenny took it. I am glad that Bethenny maturely handled the situation by privately having lunch with her. But then she turned that right around by gossiping about it in the Social Life issue launch party. Tisk tisk Bethenny.

So the drama this season might be petty, but at least they are laying on the drama like the ladies of the OC without any issue.

On Tuesday: American Idol & Housewives

So this is yet another week without the Aussie awesomeness that is Simon Baker in The Mentalist. We, however, did get more shows than last Tuesday since the President isn’t taking up all the primetime slots.

American IdolEp. “Third 12 of 36”

The final set of 12 contestants performed to get a spot in the Top 12. This week’s contestants were very promising; a lot of them were ones I wanted to get through during the early audition rounds.

Von Smith: Performed “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Marvin Gaye. I thought the performance was alright. He performed the song well but I don’t agree that it was as good as the judges thought.

Taylor Vaifanua: Performed “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys. I think she performed the song well, definitely a better performance in my opinion than Von Smith’s. My only issue with it is that she selected a song that is so “trademarked” by an artist. Alicia Keys has a very distinct tone and originality in her music and to try and recreate it is something that doesn’t really work.

Alex Wagner-Trugman: Performed “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” by Elton John. I really didn’t get the gruntal portions of the song, and boy did I laugh when he knocked over the mic stand. I don’t believe it was a performance that will get him through to the Top 12. The only chance he has is if the ladies find his dorkiness cute. Pity vote if you will.

Arianna Afsar: Performed “The Winner Takes It All” by ABBA. She is just as cute as a button! Also, she decided to enter a new world for American Idol by being the first person in Idol history to perform a song by the Swedish pop giant. The only issue I had with her performance was that it seemed a bit theatrical, like she was auditioning for Mamma Mia!. Her vocals were a also a little pitchy at times and kind of gloomy. I didn’t think it was as bad as the judges thought.

Ju’not Joyner: Performed “Hey There Delilah” by The Plain White Tees. I am not going to lie, I am a bit tired of hearing this song on American Idol after Hollywood week. Also, his rendition of the song was very boring. I do give him props for trying to give it an R&B vibe though.

Kristen McNamara: Performed “Give Me One Reason” by Tracy Chapman. What was she wearing during her performance? She looked like she was getting ready to attend a Catholic school dance in 1993. Her performance was good though. I didn’t realize that she could hit a note that high.

Nathaniel Marshall : Performed “I Will Do Anything For Love” by Meatloaf. This man’s voice and image do not mix. He’s an Indy “scene” kid who has a serious theatrical voice and flamboyant stage presence. I also don’t think his rendition of the rock classic was anything to write home about. I am glad he didn’t cry this time though.

Felicia Barton: Performed “No One” by Alicia Keys. Can anyone explain to me how she is here? What happened? She was cut then she’s in the Top 36?” Also her voice makes me think that she is the illegitimate love child of Alicia Keys and Nelly Furtado (if that were possible). I must say that she was definitely better at performing Alicia Keys when compared to Taylor Vaifanua. She has a chance of getting through.

Scott MacIntyre: Performed “Mandolin Rain” by Bruce Hornsby. I know he is one of the favorites of America with his “overcoming challenges” story, but I really don’t think he has the best voice in the competition. I am sure he will get through, but I wonder how long he will be around.

Kendall Beard: Performed “This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride. I really was pulling for her for some reason, but she definitely was a bit flat through most of the song. I don’t know if there is any hope for her to continue on.

Jorge Nunez: Performed “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down” by Elton John. I think he has a good voice, but I don’t think he was able to pull off the awesomeness that is Elton John. I guess we’ll find out what America thought sooner than later.

Lil Rounds: Performing “Be Without You” by Mary J. Blige. I think she picked a song that really meets her personality and she sang it very well. On top of that, she is probably one of the most personable contestants on the show this year. People like her. I like her. You do what you do so well Lil Rounds.

So this week, predicting the contestants that make it through is kind of tough. I would probably guess…Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre and Felicia Barton (but that third spot is really up for grabs).

Real Housewives NYCEp. “On Their High Horses”

This week was the first one where the ladies of New York didn’t have to compete with the women of Orange County. It worked in their favor since the OC women were such train wrecks.

So I really cannot decide who my favorite housewife of New York is. In the OC, Gretchen was my #1. In NYC, I thought it would be LuAnn; she seemed the most down to earth, but this season they are really making her look like a snooty bitch. I definitely hate Ramona. Bethenny and Jill are a bit too gossipy for me, and I cannot deal with the oddity that is Alex and Simon. Maybe this is why they added Kelly to the cast. She has potential of taking the place of the favorite housewife.

In relation to the episode, they must have decided to make this one the “health & wellness” week. Not only do they begin the episode with surf lessons, they also show LuAnn playing tennis, the women attending  boot camp,  a spa day with Simon and Alex, Kelly going horseback riding, and Bethenny and Jill going to the salon for hair cuts and facials before the “Tea Dance” gay party. Seriously, they should have just called it “Housewives for Health,” but listening to Jill at the class was hilarious. I also want to have Simon stop talking about not being gay. It seems like he is trying to over-compensate for the flack he got about his sexuality in season 1.

This episode was definitely better than last weeks, but it looks like the real drama will start next week. Keep your fingers crossed!

On Tuesday: The Housewives & State of the Union

Tuesdays are usually my slower night, especially with Fringe being on hiatus until April 7th (What is with that!). However, even with Fringe gone, I would be typically awaiting the riveting performances of the Top 36 on American Idol or the Aussie awesomeness that is Simon Baker in The Mentalist, but this week the auditions were moved to Wednesday night and the Mentalist went missing due to Obama’s State of the Union.

State of the UnionPresident Obama’s State of the Union Address

First, I must give you guys the number. President Obama received 67 breaks for applause during the speech. In relation to the content, Obama seemed to really convey a sense of optimism. He seems to have that hopeful fervor that we fell in love with during the election, and he finally started to lay out his plan for the future: economic, environmental, etc. Now, one of my favorite moments was when Obama gave that little dig at Bush’s administration with the “debt we inherited” portion of the speech. It made me laugh. You rock, Barack.

But not all of TV was ruined, we were able to be graced with a double dose of the suburban drama that is The Real Housewives…

Real Housewives of OCEp. “The Housewives Confess”

So after the promos, there was a lot of hype surrounding this episode. Boy, they did not disappoint! To start, Jeff lost his battle with Leukemia in September and I really do feel bad for Gretchen and the heartbreak that comes with missing a loved one. And to that point, I really hate Vicki and Tamra for their horrible accusations and cold-heartedness towards the entire situation. If they watched the show, they would realize that the love was there and to berate Gretchen about their relationship would be seriously emotionally trying. Gretchen, I love you!

Second, the awkward tension between the other housewives (minus Gretchen) and Lynne could be cut with a knife. The worst part was when Lynne started to cry after Jeana said, “I had a Lynn moment, you know like ‘whoa, where am I?'” I really don’t think Lynne is a dumb or stupid woman, but I don’t completely agree with her parenting tactics. Give that kid a kick in the ass and make her get a real job. Seriously!

Third, there was the revisiting of the infamous night when Tamra decided to get Gretchen “naked wasted” at the dinner party. Ladies of the O.C. remember, “tequila makes your clothes fall off!” Now during the reunion episode, Tamra gave a really fake apology to Gretchen and it seems like there is still a little tension there.

And oh the scandal! Who is this J? Tamra seriously accused Gretchen of dating another man behind Jeff’s back. It really made my pulse quicken because you could see that Gretchen was blindsided by this story. I don’t know what the story is or who is telling the truth (everyone has ghosts in their closet), but I do believe that Tamra is a poisonous person who is attacking Gretchen on national television out of shear jealously. Also, where’s the harm in a booty call? Sometimes people need one to cope with the hurt.

All in all, season 4 ended up being pretty entertaining and dramatic. I’m not going to lie, I will probably be watching season 5 when it starts next year.

Real Housewives NYCEp. “Hamptons Retreat…But No Surrender”

Following The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion, this episode was a bit lack luster. There were some parties in the Hamptons, relationship advice for Bethenny, some beach activities, some shopping and a cancer society benefit. But this show is really going to have to turn up the notch if it wants to keep up with the intense OC women. I must say though, I literally laughed out loud when Bethenny comment about Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. Quote: “That was not very countess. In fact, that was dis-countess.” Hilarity.

So this Tuesday wasn’t the most exciting, but tomorrow we have Lost, Top Chef finale, Life on Mars and American Idol auditions. Damn you American Idol! Moving to Wednesday is going to completely destroy my Thursday lineup. But I fast-forward through the entire results show anyway since I HATE Ryan Seacrest.
