On Tuesday: The Mentalist & Real Housewives of NYC

So because of the Presidential Press Conference, a few shows I would normally be watching on Tuesday were either put on hiatus for a week or moved to another day. As such, American Idol was moved to Wednesday. However, even with the President ruining primetime Tuesday, The Mentalist and Real Housewives still aired.

The MentalistEp. “Carnelian Inc.”

It was kind of funny watching this weeks episode since it revolved around a financial company and the unfortunate murders taking place while they are on a retreat. Kind of appropriate, don’t you think? The overall story wasn’t too crazy. In the end, it was the CEO of the company that was the murderer. He actually killed one of the coworkers and faked a bomb threat on himself to try and pull of the intended murder. The fun part of the episode was watching the somewhat giddy, childish excitement Patrick Jane was expressing. He really makes this show. If it wasn’t for Simon Baker this show wouldn’t have lasted two episodes.

Real Housewives NYCEp. “Runway Run-In”

There definitely was some drama that arose this week while the housewives attended Fashion Week, but I feel like this was just a prelude to the bombs that are going to go off next week. There is a tension betwee Bethenny and Kelly that seems completely unfounded, but it seems like it is going to blow up big time in the near future. Also, Alex and Simon had another altercation with Ramona. Just before a fashion show, Simon and Ramona have it out in the front row. I would agree with Kelly that it wasn’t the right time or place for it. Apart from the drama, the entire episode did center around fashion. There was a luncheon/private runway show that Jill hosted and numerous trips to different designer boutiques in New York and Brooklyn. I like that with this subject matter the producers are choosing to start to look at Kelly a little bit more. It seemed like she was being neglected in previous episodes this season.

Can’t wait for next week.
