Ep. “Chuck Versus the Predator”
This week, Chuck continued his search for Orion and found him. The entire episode centered around attempting to make contact with Orion. FULCRUM wanted to capture him, the US government wanted to retain him, Chuck desperately wanted to talk to him; needless to say, the man was popular. In the end, Orion was killed after he sent a Predator airship to his location to blow him up in a helicopter after he was abducted by FULCRUM. However, before his death, Orion sent chuck a DVD with a last message and schematics for the new Intersect. Apparently, there is a way for the Intersect to be extracted from Chuck’s mind, but Chuck now believes he is the only one who is truly trying to make it happen. Also, after the General comes to Burbank, it seems that we can look forward to Chuck entering spy training…potentially. It seems they have realized after all this time that Chuck should become more aware of how to be a spy beyond freaking out in high-stress situations.
CANCELLATION WARNING: Apparenlty, Chuck has entered a small list of shows that critics are saying is in serious trouble of not being renewed for next year. What?! DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN!!! I love this show and so should everyone else. Make sure to watch it…or else!
Ep. “Chapter Seven: Cold Snap”
So I really enjoyed this week’s episode, and I can say that during the show I totally called it that Hiro would get his power back. The minute I saw that Baby Mat Parkman was able to turn on the TV I went, “The baby is going to give Hiro his power back! I mean think about, the baby ‘powers’ the TV, so it isn’t just electrical appliances.” And as the episode continued, you could see that Hiro had never actually touched the baby’s skin so my theory just got stronger, until the baby brushes Hiro’s face and he is able to stop all the government agents and get Hiro, Baby Matt Parkman and Ando out of the house intact.
In other news, Tracy escaped the government facility with Suresh, Parkman and Daphne with the help of Rebel. The issue was that the agency somewhat let her escape to see if they could be led to Rebel. In the end, Rebel turns out to Micah! I was somewhat shocked, but it made total sense. Also, Micah is able to turn Tracy from the heartless, selfish bitch she is to someone who actually cares about the “cause,” and in an awesome scene where she turns to ice and freezes an entire parking garage, she allows Micah to escape and obviously fake her death.
Can’t wait for next week!
Ep. “Hedge Fund Homeboys”
This episode dealt with a case where a prep school boy was killed in the park and the uncovering of a complicated life of drugs, sex and betrayal…amongst teens. Here is basically how the story ends. Brendan decides that he is going to passively kill Donnie during a warped game of Russian Roulette that the group of friends all play. Donnie had gotten into drug dealing to deal with his parents financial issues and Brendan didn’t believe that he was fit to be a part of the group anymore. To top it off though, Donnie and Amanda were somewhat of an item and after Donnie broke it off, Brendan was the one that Amanda turned too (sloppy seconds, you know how it is). The creepy part of the episode was that Brendan planned out the entire thing: he loaded the typically empty gun with a bullet and then passed it to Max, who ended up kililng Donnie; he then developed an alibi by having Amanda tape the killing and saving it on his phone; he kills Max by faking a suicide.
But in the midst of all this depressing teen angst, Castle and Beckett have some entertaining banter and Castle continues to be as engaging and hilarious as he was in episode 1. Just like the other shows I watch on Monday, I cannot wait for their next episode next week.
Ep. “Prosperity”
Let me say that I would love to know what went on this week in The Amazing Race. It is the one reality show that comes on on Sundays that I look forward to; however, this week I had stupid March Madness to destroy my television enjoyment. As with the NFL season, the programming on CBS on Sunday is plagued with delays due to sporting event overages. For some reason, CBS can’t just cancel 60 Minutes and let the primetime programming run like it should. Since they don’t do that, all the programs are pushed back, which kind of destroys your programs you plan on DVRing. This week, basketball games pushed the start of the Amazing Race to the last 6 minutes of its regular time. I believe that we, the masses, should start a petition to request that CBS at least post all their programming for free on On Demand in order to allow its loyal followers to watch the shows they enjoy. So just like with the NFL…I hate sports on Sunday. I hate Comcast. I hate CBS.

Ep. “Shauna and Dave”
Shauna Raisch is a 41-year-old millionairess who owns a high-end salon in Minneapolis. She was quite the character. She had freaky, soul-sucking eyes, and she was an extremely superficial woman. I loved Patty’s line with her, “Baby steps…baby steps for the superficial bitch!” Hilarious. She went on dates with two men, but apparenlty she didn’t decide to go on a second date with either of them. I am all about dating older women, excuse me…more mature women, but there are some that are just as bad as the 18-year-old bimbos you find in your undergrad. Good luck, Shauna.
David Levine is a 40-year-old sex toy distributor who has stripper pole in his living room. He is more commonly known as “Sex Toy Dave,” and he really has no idea what he wants. It seems that, because of his industry, he believes he needs a crazy, swinger girl to date. Well this week he was given just that and OMG that was CRAZY! Did you people see Johanna? She was a psychotic, eye-licking, sex pot who is more forward than anyone I have ever seen. I mean the woman was straddling Dave’s head on the second date! Boundaries woman, boundaries. After the date, Dave decided he needed to move to a more “conservative” woman, but we don’t know how that is going.

Daniel Maltzman, age 46, is a name-dropping celebrity artist. In the beginning, when I saw his tape, I thought the exact same things as Patty. He’s a man obsessed with celebrity and incapable of humility. Patty gives him some constrictive criticism that he takes to heart and he definitely changed my opinion of him by the end of the episode. He took Lauren on a date to Dolce, (which I thought was funny since the last date that was there in season 1 was a disaster) but the date seemed to go well and Lauren and Daniel had obvious chemistry. Daniel also gave Lauren a painting of herself that was quite good. His art is pretty amazing; in fact, if you want to see any of it go to his website,
Chris Palzis is a 39-year-old children’s book author who has a little bit of an ageist issue. He apparently will only date petite, brunette women between 21 and 28. The thing about Chris that I did like was that he didn’t let his success go to his head. He is basically a bohemian millionaire. A mellow surfer who doesn’t care about money or status as long as the waves are breaking. The ageist issue was a major portion of the show; Patty sends him to a therapist to try and “cure” him as well as stock the mixer with women over 30 to prove her point. He ends up dating a laidback yoga instructor, Yvonne, and they have an unorthodox (millionaire) date at the beach surfing. I personally think dates like that are the best. They’re unpretentious and fun. In the end, Chris somewhat figured out Yvonne’s age and stuck her in the “friendzone.”
